Cara Cartolina (caracartolina.com) is a personal language learning app. By using it, you agree to these simple terms.

What the app does

Cara Cartolina lets you practise the language you're learning by chatting with a friendly AI tutor. You can share holiday photos for her to discuss, look up word translations, and build your vocabulary. The app is provided free of charge as a personal project.

Your content

• Photos and messages you upload remain yours.
• By uploading content, you give us permission to store it and send it to Google's Gemini AI for processing within the app.
• Do not upload content that is illegal or that you do not have the right to share.

AI-generated content

Your tutor's responses are generated by AI. They may contain mistakes — including incorrect translations, historical inaccuracies, or made-up facts. Do not rely on them as a sole source of truth.

Account & access

• You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
• We may limit usage (daily token caps) for free-tier users to keep the service running for everyone.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. We may change, pause, or shut down the service at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated content.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
